Replacement line

We are about to do some yard work.  Our existing cable drop is coming across the yard where the digging will take place.  How do I get Xfinity to replace the line while leaving 5 to 10 feet of slack in it.  I plan to bury it after the digging is done.

@Bamabulldog FYI-Normally the drop line is not made for underground use, it`s probably RG-6, so they would have to put RG-6 direct burial in, or RG-11.  RG-11 is the best for undergorund install. Old is RG-59, I would not ever use it for anything. So use RG-6 direct burial, or RG-11. And always run conduit to run the line thru to protect it. 18 inches deep is the standard depth you would want to bury it. Plenty of DIY videos out there to watch on the best ways to achieve this.

It’s been escalated to an Official Employee to to help you get a tech out for you. When they come out, explain what you need be careful burying cable yourself
