Replace rented Gateway modem and keep existing SSID and Password to replacement?
I am wanting to replace my rented Gateway modem with a purchased modem. Can I reuse the rented Gateway SSID and Password to the new modem so I do not have to up date all my devices?

Thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums @user_d85a36. Welcome to the community! You ask an awesome question. Yes, you should be able to use your existing WiFi network name and password once you have set up the new purchased modem using the default information (follow manufacture instructions). This can certainly make your life easier. Of course one exception is if you’re using a very weak network password, your new modem could have different requirements.
