Renew Contract

I am nearing the end of a 12 month contract on the connect plan. This time last year I called support and they were able to renew my contract to keep my same internet price. I have tried calling support multiple times to ask to renew my 12 month contract on the same plan so I can keep my current internet price. I just keep being told to upgrade to a more expensive plan. Is it no longer possible to renew a contract on your current internet plan?
