Remove Modem from Account

Hi, I just sold my old modem (Arris Surfboard Wi-Fi cable modem G36) and need to remove it from my account. I am unable to find a direct way to do this. When I go to the Xfinity app, I am not able to remove an old device. It only gives the option to add a new one. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
