Hi there, @user_e0rf5v. You are at the right place for help with the remote. We don't want it to give you any troubles! With new boxes, you normally get our XR15 remote (without a setup button). Let's try to factory reset the remote:
Press and hold the A (triangle) and D (diamond) buttons at the same time for three seconds until the light at the top changes from red to green.
Press 9-8-1.
The light will blink blue three times. Your remote is now reset.
From there you should be able to try pairing it again:
Aim the Voice Remote at your TV Box.
Press the Microphone (Voice) button and say, "Program remote."
You’ll receive a notification that your remote is paired for voice control.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

Is the X1 remote showing a red&green blinking light when touching anything? Are you able to use the X1 voice remote button still? We have several resources that can help to re-pair this to your cable box and Roku TV.
