Reminder Concerning the Comcast Equipment

We are repeatedly receiving messages from "returns@completerecoverycorp.com" to return equipment. I called Xfinity customer service and you stated that we have no equipment to return. Can you please confirm this in writing?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello, user_3v5mhw. Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your concerns about the suspicious email you received. We completely understand how unsettling that can be, and I want to reassure you that protecting your personal information is one of our highest priorities. We’ve invested heavily in security measures to help keep your account safe. Unfortunately, bad actors sometimes try to impersonate Xfinity representatives or create fake websites to trick people into sharing sensitive information. Here are a few helpful tips to recognize and avoid potential scams:

Watch out for deceptive emails or phone calls. Scammers may use spoofed numbers or rely on misdialed calls to try and access your account or payment details. If you’re ever unsure, it’s best to hang up and call us directly at 1-800-Xfinity (1-800-934-6489).
Check for inconsistencies. Official Xfinity communications go through multiple layers of review. If you notice misspellings, blurry images, or anything that seems off, it’s safest to delete the message or exit the site.
Verify the sender’s email address. If it doesn’t look familiar or doesn’t match our official domains, it’s likely not from us.
Avoid clicking on links or opening attachments in unexpected emails or texts. These could contain harmful software like malware or spyware.

If you believe you’ve encountered a scam or fraudulent activity, you can report it directly to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov. They also offer great tips on how to stay safe online. And if you think this may be related to your Xfinity account, or if you’d like us to take a closer look, our Service Policy Assurance team is here to help. You can also stay informed about the latest security alerts and phishing scams by visiting our Cybersecurity Alerts page. Our team would also be happy to review your account with you.
