Recurring Nighttime Outages/Inaccurate ETAs

I am writing to express extreme frustration and concern regarding the persistent and frequent internet outages at my service address. For the past year, my internet service has been experiencing outages roughly every three weeks, and these disruptions consistently occur during the nighttime hours. The most infuriating aspect of this problem is the consistent inaccuracy of your reported estimated restoration times on the outage map. Nearly every previous nighttime outage, service was not actually restored until the following morning. This pattern strongly suggests that technicians are either not being dispatched to address these issues overnight, or the problem is being allowed to persist until daytime hours despite the stated repair estimates.
These frequent and prolonged nighttime outages are more than just an inconvenience; they significantly disrupt my ability to work from home, access critical services, stream entertainment, and ensure home security. I pay for reliable internet service 24/7, and the current situation is simply unacceptable and frustrating.

I am requesting the following:

- A thorough investigation into the root cause of these recurring nighttime outages in my area. I need assurance that steps are being taken to implement a permanent fix that will significantly reduce these outages rather than to keep reacting to each individual outage as it occurs.
- An explanation for the consistently inaccurate estimated restoration times. If technicians are not working overnight, this should be clearly communicated rather than providing misleading information.
- Appropriate service credits on my bill for the significant loss of service I've experienced due to these frequent and lengthy outages.


I urge you to take this complaint seriously and work towards a definitive resolution. I look forward to your prompt response and a plan of action to ensure reliable internet service at my address, particularly during the nighttime hours.

Good morning @user_iakcqa We engineer our network capacity to handle spikes and shifts in usage patterns, and we continuously test, monitor, and enhance our systems and network to ensure they are ready to support customer needs and withstand heavy traffic. Our engineers and technicians staff our network operations center 24/7 to ensure network performance and reliability.

In the event of a service interruption, any time frame given is only an estimate as additional issues may be uncovered as we work to make repairs.  The XFINITY Status Center is the best place for updates. You can also request a credit for the downtime in the service center once services are restored. You can access the status center here:
