Recently changed to a 300/300Mbps plan but upload speeds still capped at 40Mbps.

Hi, I recently switched to a 300/300 plan with unlimited data, but my upload speeds are still capped at 40Mbps.  Anyone know how I can get my upload speed up to 300?

Hello @Silent3eatz, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your upload speed. Could you let me know if you're using an Xfinity Gateway or your own modem? Also, are you connected via Wi-Fi or using a wired (Ethernet) connection?

Hi @XfinityMarshante, I am using my own Netgear CM1000 modem and a Deco Mesh system.  I'm getting the same upload speed on multiple devices.  PC connected through ethernet, my mobile phone and laptop on wifi.

@Silent3eatz The Netgear CM1000 is not on our recommended list for next-generation speeds. X-class and EPON require a Xfinity gateway for those speeds. You can review our approved Comcast device list here. I'd like to review your account to determine what type of network you have. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a direct message:

1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon

2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)

4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!
