Recent Tech Visit
A bit worried about two things after recent tech visit for upgrade: 1) that the technician asked me to enter our wifi password on his phone and did not ensure us about it being regular protocol or that he would disregard it afterwards, etc. 2) he also asked to see our basement and our garage to "check on things" although when asked, I told him we've never had any issues w/ connection, etc. Is this normal procedure?! Thanks.

I’m honestly not too sure if it’s still the process so I can only go off of the last time I had a tech swap a gateway which was a long time.
1. last time I did have to input the wireless name and password through the tech’s device as it was just part of the setup process. If that’s still the process, not too sure.
2. That would definitely seem to be standard operating procedure to check the connections anyhow. It’s still possible an issue might exist but just not be at the point to where you would notice it.

Hello, @user_0xeguh. I hope you're having a great morning, so far. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this last tech visit made you feel. It's not our intention for our customers to experience any level of discomfort with our procedures.
The technicians have a series of steps they need to complete in order to ensure they've successfully resolved all service inquiries during the appointment. Having to check certain rooms in the house is one of them. Also, the device used to input your wifi password is not a personal phone. This is used to confirm there are no issues when connecting to your network by any device. The technicians tend to "forget" wifi signals stored in their history. It is also used to check the internet speeds after every installation or speed upgrade. I hope this helps answer your questions and concern regarding this tech visit.
By the way, how's your internet service working since the technician upgraded your service?
