Recent change to HD

In the past several weeks I have noticed that my channels guide has changed to the HD format. So, whenever I type in a 2, 02, or 002 I get 802 HD.  Now I have never subscribed to the HD format as my set only displays 720p.  So here are my questions:
Why the change?
Why wasn't I informed?
Am I paying extra for HD?

If the answers are:
We can't say
We don't know
Yes, you are paying more, sorry forgot to inform you, we didn't think you'd notice since you're on auto-pay.

then I need you to change it back and credit me with whatever extra I have paid the last few months

@user_45f490 Thank you for reaching out to the Xfinity forum team. The X1 equipment has a feature that auto-tunes to an HD version of the network. It can be disabled through the setting menu. Even though your TV is 720p, the HD version would still play since that is still a higher resolution compared to traditional 480p. HD is usually built into your package and you are not paying extra for it. Are you wanting to disable that feature?
