Receiving Texts to Return Equipment I Don't Have

Hello, I cannot find directions on how to stop texts that are requesting I return equipment.

I do not have any equipment onsite that I don't already own.

Any thoughts on how to stop that from reoccurring?

Hi @user_1hmeju! Thanks for spending the time out of your Tuesday to reach out to XFINITY over our forums page for help with stopping those text alerts. I understand the importance of being able to stop those texts as a customer myself. We can help. To stop receiving text alerts, text STOP to 266278. If you ever want to restart text alerts, text START to 266278 from your mobile device. Please let me know if this helps. 😀

Thank you for the guidance. I would still like to receive texts from Xfinity, however, I just don't want to receive texts as it relates to equipment that I do not have. Is it possible to find out why I keep receiving the texts that state "Hi, Xfinity here. Did you get a new xFi Gateway? Please return your old Gateway that you are no longer using. https://xfinity.com/returns Txt help or stop Msg&DataRatesMayApply". As mentioned, I don't have the xFI or any existing device that would need to be returned.

@user_1hmeju I'd love to look at your equipment and see what's listed as still outstanding. Please direct message us your full name and address when you're able to.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
