Receiving emails claiming that I requested my service be canceled

On May 4th and 5th I received emails stating that Xfinity had received a cancellation request from me (which I did not send, I need my service to remain active).

Also, on the 6th, I received a package which I think contains Xfinity equipment which was listed for my address but was labeled under a different name. I don't know if the person is a former resident or a neighbor.

After that, I attempted to find out what was happening by speaking to someone through the customer service chat. They assured me that there was no pending cancellation request and that I could ignore the email.

However, later that same day I received another email stating that my service would be disconnected soon (the 9th), so I would like to find some way to double check and make sure that my internet service won't be interrupted.

user_568kh1 Thanks for reaching out! I would be concerned if I was getting those types of emails, however they could be spam or phishing emails. We can take a look to ensure your account is not being disconnected. Please send us a direct message.

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
