Real-time Outage Update Information

I'm trying to determine when my internet will be restored and all that the status center tells me is that service is unavailable. The Xfinity Assistant does not provide any real information - only referring me to an outage map that doesn't load and offering to text me if it has an update. I'm being told that no customer service agents are available because of a storm in the area.

Is there some part of the customer service interface that will let me talk to a real person and find out any real-time updates that include an estimate of service restoration? 

Any time there is an outage, I can get this type of information and restoration estimates from my electricity supplier simply by looking in the app or making one quick call.

I need to know what the estimated time is for restoring my internet service because I need it for my job and can't be offline and do my work.
