Reactivating Account

I had an old account I haven't used in a few years that isn't taking emails anymore, but I was able to log in and set a new password for it, but the page doesn't load. It just says "Welcome to Xfinity connect, please wait while we load your email" how do I fix this and get back the account?

@user_wzdkkr Thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Forums. As a former Xfinity customer, you can access your Xfinity Email if you log in to your account using the Xfinity Email website at least once every nine months. However, it becomes inactive and no longer accessible if it is not accessed in that timeframe and there is no way to reactivate it. could I possibly link the account to a new Xfinity account?

If the email address hasn't been used in years, it will purge all of the contents of the email account. It's possible to be added to a new Xfinity account as the email is what the Xfinity ID would be. How to invite a user is online as well. Did you go to customer.xfinity.com/settings/xid/uidemail to check the status of your email account? There's more on email status here.

thank you very much, I haven't looked yet actually but I will! So I should be able to keep my email ID if I link to a new account?

It's possible, but I cannot guarantee it. I actually haven't come across this situation before, but we do have articles that state it can be reactivated.

That doesn't quite work for me. The "Email" heading shows up briefly, but then the page switches to https://customer.xfinity.com/settings/xid, which is the "Edit name / Choose pronouns" screen. The "View Your Email Account Status" screen shown on https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-activity-status is never actually visible. Same result in Firefox and Chrome.

Why?
