Reactivate Email

I haven't used my old @comcast.net email for a couple years and was hoping to reactivate it.

I followed an article's instructions that said reactivation is possible by simply logging into the account but when I do log in, I am just taken to the Homepage every time I select email.

@user_66a37b Thanks for creating a post and reaching out on our Xfinity Community Forums. You should be able to reactivate the email address, though any saved emails, address book entries, and drafts would have been deleted. To reactivate the email address, you can click on this link, Xfinity Connect web portal, which will ask you to sign in. It will take you to the home page and you should see an envelope icon on the top-right header bar. That email icon will take you to a new page where it should have a blue link to reactivate the email address. Have you already progressed through all of these steps?

@XfinityThomasD Thanks for your reply, yes I just tried that again - after logging in and clicking the envelope icon, I'm taken to a page that reads: "Welcome to Xfinity Connect; We are loading your emails" but takes me on a loop, right back to the home screen.

Strange. I appreciate you going through the steps already and am sorry that this is causing you some trouble today. My email had been deactivated as well, so I went through the same steps but the Connect web portal loaded shortly after the "loading emails" screen. Have you tried to clear the cache and cookies on your web browser and attempted to reactivate the email?

I am having the same issue as the previous user. I have an old email account that was deactivated, I can log in to Xfinity and click the email icon to "reactivate it," but it simply redirects me back to the home page with URL https://my.xfinity.com/?cid=cust . I have cleared cache/cookies from Xfinity and used 3 different browsers but have the same issue for each.

I see that this same issue has been discussed on Xfinity and non-Xfinity forums for years, but it only seems to be an issue for certain users (as you said, this reactivation procedure worked for you but not for us). Please let me know how I can address the issue to reactivate the email account.

Thank you very much for commenting on this post. This would be the only way to activate the emails. As you have stated you have tried multiple browsers to activate it. May I ask around what time you tried re-activating the email? It may have been during online maintenane to the servers and this may have caused the loop.

I no longer work for Comcast.
