Random unstable internet

For several months now I have been having issues with the reliability of my internet. It will randomly drop, or have high jitter or random packet loss. This will go on for a while randomly for 30+ minutes or even longer, then eventually it may stabilize or go back to doing that again. I have checked my equipment and tried restarting them but its clearly a comcast issue. Just like 20min ago my internet dropped altogether for a minute or two, its hard to even try to play games online in this conditions as the connection isn't reliable. I tried looking for a phone number to contact for technical support, but its impossible these days as it seems companies just want to fop you off to some automatic bot that won't let you talk to an agent, so I come here as I seem to have no other avenue to contact support.

user_5b5bti  Thanks for reaching out about your internet connection concerns! Do you have your own modem, or are you using our Xfinity Gateway? Also, with connection drops the first thing we want to check is the cable connection from the wall to your modem. You will want to ensure each connection is finger tight. Here are some more helpful things to check: How to Troubleshoot Your Xfinity Internet Connection

Hi Marty,

I have my own modem (MB8611) and router (asus RT-AX86U). Both are good quality equipments.

I've checked all the usual steps including the connections, restarts, cables, etc however this happens as well thru wireless and on a different computer.
