Property Easement
Like many others, I am trying to communicate with Xfinity trying to find access to an easement Comcast claims they have on my property. I have gone through chat and provided my address information and asked for documentation, but all I get back is a question asking what services can I help you with. This is urgent as an adjoining property is trying to bore through my property to connect to the box at my house. Of course I cannot speak to a representative. Thank you.

Easements are generally the property line with about 5' or so for the easement for utility lines, which would include any telephone or cable lines, electric lines, etc. If you have the pedestal on your property you can't deny Comcast the right to connect to it as it will service a number of homes within its vicinity.

We never heard back from the local Comcast team. Unfortunately, it appears as though work proceeded without proof of an easement. Further, it appears they bored through our property and right through an invisible fence (the alarm alerting us to a broken line is going off) and likely our irrigation lines, all within 5-6 feet of a septic tank and drainfield.
This is highly concerning and absolutely unacceptable.
While we have a direct conversation happening with Comcast, it needs to be shared here as well. At least until they can get us a direct supervisor contact in our local area.
