Property Damages
January 31, 2024, between 8-11 AM, there was an electrical fire of a down wire that was caused by a Xfinity cable employee, which had left right afterwards. The wire split in half and had fallen on our travel trailer, the wire had burnt the corner of our trailer, resulting an opening into the back top of trailer.
Soon after it had rained for 3 days, during that time the water of the rain seeped into the inner walls of our trailer all the way down past the storage to underside, which had caused wood inside to become soggy to the touch, our main electrical receptacle plug box inside the storage area can become damaged by the rain which will cause our entire trailer unit to be disabled.
This travel trailer is our full time home that we purchased out of state after Hurricane Ian that had passed through, there is no other place for us to go.
These damages has weakened the structure to our corner back walls to our home, with any future rain will eventually ruin the travel trailer completely, the corner wall may collapse outward and make the opening larger. Our storage closet with clothes is weakened, my husband is terminal and I'm afraid these damages can cause potential hazardous mold in our bedroom.
The hurricane had caused us to loose our previous place with everything in it, this travel trailer is our safety net to keep us from becoming homeless, we do not have insurance because I became slightly disabled and is unable to work so we are living on my husband's disability. Is there any way to have these damages fixed that was caused by an employee?
