Property Damage

Hello,

Xfinity recently installed a new underground cable line at my property. During the installation, the work caused damage to my neighbor’s lawn and also left a mess on the sidewalk.

I understand that underground cable installation requires digging, but the property should have been left in reasonable condition after the work was completed. My neighbor should not have to pay out of pocket to repair damage caused by Xfinity’s installation.

I also called Xfinity to report the issue, and I was told that someone would come out on September 30th to address the damage. No one came, and the issue has still not been resolved.

At this point, I am requesting a $150 credit to my Xfinity account so I can give that money to my neighbor to cover the cost of repairing the lawn with seed or sod and cleaning up the affected area.

I would appreciate Xfinity taking responsibility for the damage and providing the $150 credit. I have already made an effort to have Xfinity address the problem, but the scheduled visit did not happen.

Please let me know how you will resolve this.

Thank you.

user_9bkehq Thank you so much for reaching out for help with the damage left after work was completed in your area. We would not be able to issue any adjustments for your neighbor's concerns, but we are happy to help with a claim.  Feel free to have your neighbor reach out to us directly, even if they are not a customer, so we can help look into any damage. As for your location, when a claim is started, you would receive contact from our claims team. They should have also provided return contact information in case you needed to reach them again. When you started your claim, did you receive a confirmation email that may have contact information?
