Property Damage to Irrigation System

Hello, recently Xfinity Comcast buried the service line and damaged our irrigation system.

The company that services our system has given us an extensive break down and process and cost to repair.

I’d like to have Xfinity repair the system back to operational level as before and file a property damage report and claim.

This is not the first time Xfinity has caused property damage, and still has not resolved the outstanding issue of exposed junction box that services our neighborhood. Please help.

user_xjt010, hello there and thanks for reaching out. Oh no, I apologize bout your experience there. I know our techs and vendors are very thorough when doing this thzt type of work to avoid things like that especially gas lines. When did Xfinity burry the service line and when did the irrigation system imply damage?

The Xfinity line was marked as installed and completed Monday, January 19, 2026.

I assume the damage occurred the same day. We found out Monday, April 20, 2026 when we de winterized our irrigation system.

I have the invoice and pictures of the damage for the claim. Please provide a link to proceed with uploading the documentation.

Thank you for that! Is there anything you can provide that verifies the damage came from our local teams being that they were out there back in January?

Yes, please provide a link and I can upload the email confirmation and supporting docs as they contain PII to my account that I will not share on the community thread.
