Property damage / fire caused by Xfinity technician

Hello,

I am the owner of the rental property at [Edited: "Personal Information”] .

On August 26, 2026, an Xfinity technician came to the property to install new service. During the installation, the technician tapped into the exterior electric main, which caused a fire. The fire damaged the electric main, siding, roofing, and interior of the home. The Ewing Police and Fire Departments responded and deemed the house uninhabitable until repairs were made.

As a result, I have had:
- Repair costs of over $8,000 (electric main, siding, roofing, interior)
- Additional costs for separate accommodations for my tenants while the home was uninhabitable

I have photos of the damage, the repair invoice, and the bill statement ready to provide.

I need to understand how to get reimbursed for these losses. Please tell me:
1. Which department or claims team handles property damage caused by an Xfinity technician, and how I can reach them directly
2. The claim number for this incident and the name of the person assigned to it
3. Where and how to submit my documentation (photos, invoice, bill statement)
4. The expected timeline for review and reimbursement

Please also note this incident and the technician's work order for August 26 on the account, and make sure the relevant records are preserved.
