property damage claim

We recently signed up for Xfinity service in our neighborhood. When the installation team came out to install the wiring they cut the power line to a lamppost that is along the street at the top of our driveway. Three times in the past month we have asked for someone to come out and fix this. Each time we have fully explained the situation and each time the wrong kind of technician has come out to the house. Today's technician was the most helpful as he was the first one to say that we need to file a property damage claim. To be clear, the problem is with the power line to the lamppost, not anything in our home.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Understood, @user_2b7o21. Thank you for sharing that here! We can definitely help initiate a claim (ticket) for you. Could you please send our team a direct message to continue?

How to send us a direct message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.

To expedite your request, we ask that you please include your name and the service address alongside a detailed summary of your request/question. Thank you!
