Problem with xfinity wifi hotspot located at Redmond hospital in Rome, GA

{"Edit personal information} is the address. It shows up on the map of hotspots in the app. It is located at Advent Health Redmond Hospital. 


The signal here is very poor and unstable. My phone will not even stay connected to it via the xfinity app, it just says the signal is poor and drops it immediately. 
I used to use this hotspot without issues a while back, but the signal became unavailable after a storm one day and it has been highly unstable and a poor signal ever since. It just will not maintain an internet connection on my phone or my laptop.

Thanks for reaching out to us, we do apologize for any inconvenience you're having with the Xfinity hotspots https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-wifi-hotspots. Those signals come from customers modems and business owner modems, depending on your location will warrant how strong that connection would be to that Wi-Fi hotspot.

 

I would recommend connecting to other hotspots in that location to see if a different hotspot gives you a better stable connection. This link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/find-nearby-wifi-hotspots it's a great tool to find all the nearest hot spots in your location

There is no other xfinity hotspot close enough to this location. This is also a hospital, so I imagine a lot of xfinity customers would really benefit from a comcast owned hotspot in this area if the one here is not one.

Yes, I would think that is a good hotspot to connect to, user_m9nc95. A lot of waiting and using the internet at the hospital! Have you tried moving around at that location to see if the connection improves? The hotspot comes from a modem that is connected in the building. Sometimes getting closer to it can help but I know that can be tough if you are not sure where it would be. 

 

 

Does the hotspot show XFINITY, xfinitywifi, or Xfinity Mobile for the network name?
