Prepaid internet starter kit question

For prepaid internet connection, it says there will be $35 equipment fee. When I am done using prepaid plan, do I get a refund of $35 if I return my equipment ?

I had to post this question after unable to chat or talk to prepaid team. Automated bot won't connect to an agent unless I have an account.

@XfinityTimothy​ yes, that's the number I called and can't escape the bot to connect to an agent without saying "yes I have a starter kit to activate" which won't be true.  I am here just to know about the starter kit fee question as I posted above.

As far as the equipment fee, that will only be refunded if the equipment is unopened and returned within 15 days of purchase. If the equipment is open, then a refund can only be processed if Xfinity is not available in your area, or if the equipment is defective. There is no refund for the equipment fee in the scenario you outlined, where you just stop using the service of your own volition.
