Premier international plan problems

I purchased the premier international plan from Xfinity mobile. My first international trip was to Peru using this plan and it took several phone Calls and waiting for them to figure out how to get this to work for me. I am now in the Virgin Islands and the phone stopped working despite initially having no problems. I called Xfinity and they said that they would have to reset the IMEI domestically before it would work in the Virgin Islands. Of course this was no help at all. It really seems like this international plan is not ready for prime time. Even the person I was on the line with using Wi-Fi calling had to escalate the call and over while I was on the phone for over an hour.
