Pre wired ethernet jacks not working

We moved into a new house and purchased xfinity's 1gig internet. However, the pre wired ethernet jacks in the home are not working. There are two cat 6 cables I assume from the pre wired jacks just hanging loose outside the house by the xfinity box. Can an xfinity tech come setup a switch or something so I can use my ethernet jacks?

@XfinitySara so all you guys did was try the wifi troubleshooter. That didn't help at all. My physical ethernet jacks in my walls do not work. Because the tech that installed my modem did not hook them up to anything. The other ends of their cables are just hanging outside of my house, cut at the end. I also noticed that everyone else in my neighborhood has a nice enclosure over their outside hookup, but I do not. I think the tech that did our installation did a [Edited: "Language"] job and didn't complete it.

Hello user_90h8se. Our technicians do not hook up Ethernet outlets, they should only do cable outlets and phone jacks. if there are cables that are cut outside, we can take a closer look into that.

@XfinityWilliam so I need to wire my two cat6 cables into plugs and set all that up myself in order to be able to use my ethernet ports? That seems odd to me. Also, why does every other person have a nice enclosure around their cables outside but  didn't receive anything and everything is just hanging without any cover on it? I can provide pictures if necessarry.
