Power cord to new box does not work

Hi, I just picked up a new Wi-Fi TV box from the local store, and the supplied power cord does not work. The box does not turn on, but turns on and works fine if I borrow a power cord from a different box. Please send a new power cord or an entire new Wi-Fi TV box. Thank you.

Oh, no! Sorry to hear about the trouble with the power cord, @user_xxg4ew. This would frustrate me as well. I love to watch my shows. The fastest way to get this resolved is to take that same cord and swap it out for a new one at your local Xfinity Store. There is no charge. If you would like to schedule an appointment, you can here: https://www.xfinity.com/local/index.html. Although it is not necessary, but would help minimize the wait time if your local store is a busy location.

@XfinityLinda Thanks for the response, and I know the following is not your personal fault (assuming you are not a AI Bot). This "solution" is pointless and  a time waster. I have already been to the store, that's where I received the defective box I am now trying to replace. I was trying to avoid wasting another hour solving a problem for the second time. Is there a way Xfinity can simply ship a power cord or an entire wifi box to me?

We can ship a new box to your home if you'd prefer @user_xxg4ew. To get started, can you please send us a Direct Message with your first and last name along with the service address on the account?

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
