Potential Scam Call
I received a phone call yesterday afternoon. Agent gave me info about some deal regarding home internet. They asked about Xfinity Mobile and asked for my phone's IMEI to check its compatibility? They then asked for the last 4 digits of my social in order to inform me of potential deals, but they then said the system needed the first 5 digits too. I declined to provide this because I'm not actively changing my phone plan at the moment and figured I could do it online and not through the phone if I wanted. But to calm my hesitance, the agent also sent me a verification code that did come from the same number as my Xfinity bill reminder text messages. I'm very nervous one or both of these interactions were spoofing. Can you confirm that an Xfinity representative contacted me yesterday?
