Posting to gain access to direct message due to overcharging
Was charged for internet service after I moved out of my past apartment and had a phone call with xfinity confirming that my account was closed, and now am being sent to collections because xfinity charged me an extra month without telling me over a year ago and I just found out. Utterly ridiculous and unprofessional behavior from xfinity. Now I'm attempting to send a direct message to support and apparently I need to post a public message first, hence the purpose of this post.

Hi there, @user_ie00cs! Thanks for reaching out about the bill you are seeing. We are happy to look further into this with you. I see that you sent through a direct message so I will continue there.
Please also note that sending unsolicited private messages to myself or any other user is a direct violation of our forum guidelines. You must first create a Public post requesting assistance, and once a Comcast verified employee responds and asks for a private message to be sent, you can then proceed with doing so. Please keep that in mind for the future.
