Possible scam
2/14/2024 received a call from digtaldirectservices [Edited: "Personal Information"] asking about our xfinity services. We said not satisfied with the box recording the whole program, often losing the last few minutes of the program. Also the remote doesn't recognize the input button. We were told they could fix that by sending you a new box and remote. The box and remote are free, but you must pay a $149 activation fee. We were email a document with the comcast logo on it. It said: New box + remote; Software activation and handling charges $149; Discount details: Discount amount $10; Duration 24 months; Total savings $360; Confirmation [Edited: "Personal Information"]
There was a PAY NOW button which took you to Paypal. I paid the $149. Shortly there after I receive an email from xfinity stating "You're almost done completing your order". After receiving that email from xfinity I thought everything was legit. As you call see it is well past the 2 or 3 day equipment delivery. Now it is 2/21/2024.
