Possible Scam

Received a phone call the other day that looked like a scam number but I answered it because I thought I recognized the last 4 numbers. I had said hello 3 times and I was about to hang up when a Indian sounding guy started talking saying he was with Xfinity. He asked if my name was so and so and I said yes. Had my name right so at first I thought it might be legit but I was worried as to why they would call me. They've never initiated a call before. He started saying something about my internet signal not properly working in my home and how he would send a technician out. I've had the same service for 5 years and never had a problem that wasn't company wide. Also I was immediately suspicious because big companies don't call and offer their services just cause. I told him I  wasn't interested and that my internet had been fine and if I found any problems I'd contact the company. He didn't say anything after that and I told him "Okay.?! Thanks! Bye!" and hung up. Also the call was really static like I could barely hear him. Anyone experience something similar.?
