Thanks for reaching out to us. We do apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for the steps you've taken to troubleshoot the port forwarding issue.

After you checked the devices to make sure they you are set up for DHCP can you select the device then Ensure you've chosen the correct device from the dropdown list when creating the port forward rule in the app.

After creating the rule, use an external, online port-checking tool to confirm the port is open and accessible from the internet.

Advanced Security features on the Xfinity Gateway can sometimes block ports, so try temporarily disabling this feature to see if it resolves the problem.

A simple restart of your Xfinity Gateway and the device you're forwarding to can resolve temporary issues.

If these steps don't work, go ahead and send me a direct message with your name and complete address.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send your message
