Port Forwarding Not Accessible

I'm trying to setup a simple port forward on my XFinity router, and have found that the configuration has been disabled for some reason.

I went to the app, and the only thing I could it to do is send me this article: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfi-port-forwarding

Which is entirely inaccurate compared to the app itself.

The worst part is that it seems that someone had this issue 3 years ago, and the only change XFinity has made was to remove their workaround: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/xfinity-app/cant-port-forward/644b157d2715675987845b6b

Resolution:

  1. Do a factory reset on gateway device
  2. Open the mobile app and go to device activation
  3. Scan the QR code on your gateway and the app will be provided with the permissions
  4. Follow this guide: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfi-port-forwarding

user_mpaoo0, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. I'm sure this has been frustrating for you. Can you tell me what troubleshooting steps you have taken?

Sure.

 - I have looked at every page and setting on the app looking for these settings with no luck.

 - I've tried the workaround with the AI chatbot mentioned in the other article I linked, but the options have changed and no longer work

 - I've factory reset my router twice

 - I've tried re-installing the mobile app at the same time as a router factory reset
