Poor Delivery Issues by carrier assigned to handle deliveries

I decided on the iPhone 17 upgrade so I  ordered the promotion from Xfinity Mobile after purchasing Xfinity Internet service.  FedEx is responsible for making sure the phone delivered, requiring the signature of the buyer/customer.  The 1st attempt returned as “not available” meaning no one home to sign for the package.  I was home all day but since FedEx advised a 2nd attempt would be made the following day I calmed down a bit.  Although available waiting to hear the knock on the door, to my surprise, FedEx issued another failed attempt.  My order included the new Iphone17 and surely Xfinity would make me responsible because I declined the transit coverage, although requiring a signature of the buyer/customer.  Now I’m annoyed and frustrated I reached out to FedEx with my concerns but prior to that I decided to walk down stairs.  The driver sent a package photo as proof the attempt was made.  Well clearly I didn’t find a post outside the door of my unit but I did located the picture post on the outside of the lobby door.  The driver never walked up to the 2nd floor or to my unit to obtain my signature.  This is absolutely horrible that any driver would do this.  I decided to make a video outlining exactly what happened.  I live in a 55 plus and many residents no longer drive or go out shopping because of disabilities like myself.  I order groceries all the time and for most part I get everything correct.  In conclusion, most of my neighbors know each other by name so when FedEx driver arrived today it was noted that no attempt would be made up to my unit until one of the residents here called the driver out on his actions. She indicated that when an attempt made to the driver about unit 204’s package he tried to pretend he didn’t understand her question.  Instead of asking about the package she insisted he had the package, she waiting on the package and 204 is waiting to sign for the package.  Sometimes we think neighbors should mind their own business but not around here.  The residents actually look out for one another because of us are alone and barely see children or grandchildren.  Such a shame you have a driver that do this to people.  Many of us order medication along with a delivery request so something like this happening would be devastating and comes with consequences.

Thank you for sharing your delivery experience, user_ztz3u1! We certainly want that to be a seamless experience for you and for the device to make it to your door as promised. I will report this feedback about what happened on your behalf. I am also glad you let the shipping company know about what happened as well. Have you since received your device or are you still waiting on them to return for a signature?
