Poor customer service

A few days I canceled my Xfinity service. I received an email with instructions for returning the equipment.  The recommendation was to take it to the store.

Today, I went to the store in Brunswick, GA.  When I walked in there were 5 workers and 0 customers.  I explained to one person that I was returning the equipment.  They said that I needed to take it to the UPS store so that I could get a receipt.  This store could not provide proof that I returned the equipment.  I was confused and assumed I read the email instructions wrong that I received from Xfinity.  I went grocery shopping, in the same plaza, and re-read my email where it said the recommended instructions were to return it to the store. The UPS instructions said to to box it and wrap it in bubble wrap.

After putting my groceries in the car, I went back to the Xfinity store to ask for clarification.  I didn't understand why the instructions they were giving me were different from the instructions I received.  I also was not interested in purchasing a box and bubble wrap (per the instructions sent to me).  When I went back into the store, there were still 5 employees and 1 customer.  Four employees were sitting down on their phones, 3 of them were all at the same table.  When I explained why I was back and started asking questions to clarify what they were saying verses the information I had been sent, they became very rude and disrespectful and said "they told me what I was supposed to do."  While I understand what they were saying, the information from the company was different and I had the equipment in my possession.  During this time, the 4 employees who were not busy all joined in on the conversation yelling at me.  When I asked for the manager, one of the employees sitting at the table together with two others, said it was him.  Understand, at this point, none of the employees got out of their seat to come and talk to me or look at the instructions I was sent.  They were rude, they yelled at me, and the manager rolled his eyes at me multiple times.

I was unhappy with the internet service we were receiving because we lost service so much at our house.  I did not think poorly of the company, just our location and situation.  However, the way I was treated at this store was unacceptable and I will never go back to Xfinity for service again.  As someone who has taught public schools for 30 years, I have never been treated as poorly as I was in this store.
