Please delete me

I accidentally registered for the forum and would like my forum profile deleted and my username anonymized. I do not wish to participate in the community.

Hello user_8zb3yx

Thank you so much for stopping by our Xfinity community forums. If you are a current Xfinity customer, your Xfinity ID provides access to our Xfinity forums automatically as an additional support option. This can not be removed since it is attached to your Xfinity ID as an active customer. None of your personal information is available, however, in your forum profile. If you are not a current customer, you cannot use your Xfinity forums account, and it will be automatically disabled after some time of inactivity.

Hi Matthew.  Here is what Gemini AI told me.  Can’t you delete me form the forum?

Option 2: Delete the Forum Profile

If you want the account completely removed, you cannot do this yourself if you have ever posted. You must request it from an administrator.

  1. Log in to the forum.

  2. Locate the Direct Message (chat bubble) icon at the top right of the page.

  3. Click the "New Message" (pencil and paper) icon.

  4. In the "To" field, type: Xfinity Support (select it from the dropdown list).

  5. In the message body, write something like:

"I accidentally registered for the forum and would like my forum profile deleted and my username anonymized. I do not wish to participate in the community."

  6. Send the message and wait for a confirmation.

Important Note on Xfinity IDs

If you are a current Xfinity customer (for internet/TV), do not try to delete your entire Xfinity ID (your login username) just to get off the forum. Your forum account and your billing/service login are often the same credentials. Deleting your main ID could lock you out of paying your bill or managing your internet service.

user_8zb3yx While I understand that is what the ai is telling you we do not have access to delete accounts only suspend them from posting on the forums. But that still does not delete you username and your profile is tied to the Xfinity ID. All of your personal information is not public. If you choose not to post that is entirely up to you.
