Platinum member - How do I get the free smartwatch "on us" and what is the catch?

I am a Platinum member and one of the benefits available to me is a free smartwatch, but I've searched the forum and I'm seeing that you have to pay $10/mo for this free smartwatch. I do not want to use the watch as a phone or have it linked to my Xfinity Mobile plan, so how do I avoid the $10/mo charge?

@karkrazy13 There is no way to avoid that $10/month charge as it will be linked to your Xfinity Mobile account/plan. You will receive device credits for the watch, but the service on it is $10/month. It's still a great offer.

@XfinityShawn So, there IS a catch.  I can only get the free smartwatch if I link it to my Xfinity Mobile account and pay $10/mo.  Got it, thank you.

Does this only apply to Apple Watches or could I get a Google or Samsung watch?

The "Apple Watch Promotion" is a scam. No amount of searching Xfinity on my desktop and via the Xfinity app reveals this alleged PROMO CODE for the $300 reward toward an Apple Smartwatch SE3!! It is a scam. I spent over an hr on live chat yesterday explaining it all. I am willing to pay the $10 for the line for the Smart Watch-but the bit about the PROMO CODE is BOGUS!. Agent opened up a ticket for me to supposedly add this elusive Promo Code to my Platinum Membership Rewards. I got a reply text today from Xfinity about that ticket. It is now closed and result: there is NOT ANY $300 PROMO CODE in my rewards. A bunch of lies all around, and an inordinately long time w/Chat Assistant did nothing!

Good afternoon zangtum. We can certainly look into this further for you.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

So in order to get my “smart watch on us” benefit as a 30+ year Comcast subscriber (a $300 benefit) i have to pay $360 ( for a $240 watch)?  I think I got it figured out correctly?

Doesn't feel like much of a "reward" or "free" when you have to pay $360/year for the free smartwatch.   Why even bother putting out a presss release for this if it was going to be this half-baked?

@guest5123456789 no, they are supposed to give you credits for the watch every month (if they apply it correctly, that is) and you pay $10/mo to have the watch on your Xfinity Mobile plan. Not a good deal at all.

@user_hgoc1j As already stated, you do not. It is required to be with Xfinity Mobile.

@user_hgoc1j You can't. You have to have an Xfinity Mobile plan to qualify for the "free" watch. Not a good deal at all.

Can I give my watch away for someone else to use? I don't need it.  I don't want it.
