Phone replacement is locked to xfinity, but I signed up with bring your own phone, which was unlocked

Hello, I signed up for xfinity internet and received a free mobile line. I brought my own phone, which was an unlocked iPhone 15 Pro Max. Signed up for insurance during the signing up for the free line. Screen got cracked as well as the back. Sent in to their repair store, they replace both glass panels, but the motherboard was broken. Now I need a new phone because its stuck in a loop. I receive the phone, but now its locked to xfinity instead of being like my phone that i brought to xfinity. I need it unlocked becasue I use the xfinity line as a secondary, not my main.

@user_tug4qw Thanks for posting to the community. For unlocking phones, the steps here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/eligible-to-unlock-phone need to be followed. If everything matches, use the chat link provided in the steps to escalate the phone and have it unlocked.

I brought y unlocked phone from a different carrier. The repair techs broke my motherboard from trying to fix my phone. Now the replacement I have is locked to xfinity. It should be unlocked like the phone I brought to xfinity in the first place

@user_tug4qw If you have the device replaced by the manufacturer, it should be unlocked. If it is replaced by an insurance claim through a service carrier, it may be locked to the carrier. Use the chat link in the steps above to verify if that phone can be unlocked.
