phone call claiming to be from Xfinity - with .net email

I received a phone call claiming to be from Xfinity telling me about a free upgrade with free router, same cost! It felt suspicious, they sent me an email afterwards from an address that also didn't look right because the domain was not ".com" , this is the address

[Edited: "Personal Information"]cast.net

is this a legitimate email address? Also was the phone call normal?
