phone call claiming to be from Xfinity - with .net email

Hi,

I received a phone call claiming to be from Xfinity telling me about a free upgrade with free router, same cost! It felt suspicious, they sent me an email afterwards from an address that also didn't look right because the domain was not ".com" , this is the address

[Edited: "Personal Information"]cast.net

is this a legitimate email address? Also was the phone call normal?

To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
