Phishing Scam Suspicious Calls and Texts
I am receiving multiple calls a day from what appears to be a legitimate Xfinity number (888 266 2278), but they never leave me a voicemail. I also receive multiple text messages a day from a 266278 number:
Example one - Your Xfinity account has a past due balance. Please pay your balance now to avoid your account being placed with a collection agency. Make a payment at https://payments.xfinity.com/new
Example two - Hi, Xfinity here. Return disconnected equipment today to reduce your monthly bill & protect the environment. https://xfinity.com/returns Txt help or stop

I have checked my account multiple times and I do not have a past due balance nor do I have any equipment to return (I have one piece of equipment that I currently use). I can't just block these numbers because they appear to be legitimate. Is there anything I can do to stop this nuisance? Thank you for your help.

10 times in 3 days, and it's getting ridiculous. I'm extremely close to reporting Xfinity to the state for harassment at this point, and changing my cable and internet provider. I don't believe them saying that it's spoofed. Not with the amount of calls. Last time I got these calls and answered, someone was trying to upsell me services for Xfinity. I told them to never call me again with sales pitches. I see they didn't listen.
