Phishing message or real?

I received a vm that my 50% promo rate would end today.  Trying to talk to someone to find out if the call was real or not, but IMPOSSIBLE to talk to anyone.  I swear if my rate does go up, there will be [Edited: Language] to pay and I'll yank my business.  Sick, sick, sick of their bloody AI that saves xfinity from having to employ human beings and just [Edited: Language] people off by refusing to connect to a human being.  Interesting way to do business, but I guess when you think you're the only game in town, you'll have to learn the hard way.  So many of us just waiting to get out.

Once again, @XfinityEvahas posted a web address the is only accessible to employees with access to Comcast's internal, private Intranet, and NOT available to customers. Perhaps the employee meant to post the "Latest Cybersecurity Alerts" page located at https://spa.xfinity.com/alerts?

If you get a "Bad Request Request Header Or Cookie Too Large" message on that link, try logging in using a Private/InPrivate/Incognito window, or clearing the browser's cache and cookies.

Thank you.  I did not find the numbers but since they came in on a day when there were a lot of fraudulent number postings, I will assume that they were fraud.  I appreciate your assist.

Click the "direct messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

@XfinityShawn The instructions did not work for me.  I did everything you said to do and selected "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line, got the graphic, I believe, but no where or place to type a message.  Clicking on the support name just shot me over to some leaderboard that had nothing to do with my issue.  And, my issue is I need to find out if the voicemessage was legit or not.  It told me to call them back at a specific number, but I am not about to call any unknown number.  Also, the call came across as "Potential Spam", then a couple of hours later I got another "Potential Spam" call from another number, but no message was left.  Highly suspicious to someone who's worked as a fraud examiner for a number of years.

Thank you so much for taking those steps. Now that you have posted your first question you should have the access to direct message. However you may need to log out and back in.

I do want to share with you our Customer Security Assurance Team's Alert's page where they do have the most common and known phishing scam alert for phone numbers and emails: https://internet-security-site-web.as-g7.cf.comcast.net/help/alerts

Our direct number would be 1-800-Xfinity and you can be directed to the team you are wanting to speak to from there.

We would love to continue assisting here and if you can give that direct message a try again we are here ready to assist.

1-800-Xfinity is useless.  Only recorded menu options that do not include speaking to a human or checking on potential fraud.

user_icjyou The phone support line is fully operational. If you provide the requested information, and follow the prompts you will be routed to a live agent. To be fully transparent, our IVR is a very powerful system that can address the core of inbound concerns.

@user_icjyou

If you have gotten a call claiming to be from Comcast asking you to buy gift cards or paying upfront for six months or more in exchange for 50% off your bill the FTC is well aware of this scam.  If you get a call like this you can report it to:     https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
The FTC also has a great webpage on Scams.  Please check it out as well.
For Target Gift Cards:
Call 1 (800) 544-2943 and follow Target’s instructions.
Keep a copy of the Target gift card or your store receipt.
Please help to stop the spread of this kind of fraud.
Thanks!
