Peacock wants me to sign in even though it’s free???

​I don’t understand why peacock is asking me to sign in when I have xfinity.  I sign in using my xfinity credentials and it doesn’t recognize my username or password.  I used to be able to open the app and get started.  Xfinity said it would fix it and they didn’t.  Then I called again and was told to contact peacock.  Come on!  Someone give me an answer please.  Thank you​
