Peacock message: Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account

I have NOW TV so I understand I should have Peacock Premium. Xfinity is actively asking me to activate my subscription. However, when I try to activate the Peacock subscription, I get a message saying that "Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account." I unlinked my previous old address and account, as well, just in case this was the reason. However, the message is still there. I would like to know if it is a redemption issue, an activation issue, or an account-linking issue. Can someone help on this?
