Pause service
I called to pause my service as I am being deployed in the military and won’t be home. They told me they cant do anything except a seasonal pause and I will still be charged 8$ per month! Is there not a different type of pausing for military members that’s waives this fee?

Good morning user_e2q5kk! Thank you so much for your service to our country and I hope that you have a safe deployment!
The only option that we have for pausing an account is our seasonal hold program and that program has limitations and costs as you learned $8.00 a month per service on hold.
However, if you have our Xfinity mobile service you can suspend the account for up to 39 months with no charge.
Typically, when our military family is deployed we will close the account, waiving any termination fees, if applicable, and we will restart the account when you return home.
If you are leasing any equipment like a cable modem / gateway or cable box those would need to be returned to avoid any unreturned device charges. When you return home you can pick up new equipment, or we can ship any needed devices to you.
How long is your deployment? Do you have any devices at your home that will need to maintain an internet connection?
