I'm in the Galveston Texas area and I work from home. My service has been out since 7:00 a.m. yesterday. I understand you're storming the issues but I would like to know if there's an estimated time of service restoration?
jmir1977 We can totally understand the impact of a service interruption in the home. Our local crews are working as safe, and quick as possible to have services restored. We are aware power interruptions have impacted the majority of our network in the area. Even if you have power to your location, there may be a power intrurrption to our network along the way to your home. Keep checking the Xfinity app for updates, that is your best source of information. You can also check the updates the local team is posting here: Comcast Texas

Last night's update Xfinity said that they were going to get Xfinity and Comcast businesses up first!! What the hell is that???? So I can't make money working from home to pay my bills and support my kid because businesses come first????
@jmir1977, I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. I did go to the Comcast Texas link and did not see any updates stating the Comcast Business will be restored first. I did see that we are working to get all of Xfinity which is the residential service and the Comcast Business service restored together.
Comcast has opened all operational Xfinity WiFi hotspots in the Houston area, free of charge, to all residents. To find the nearest Xfinity WiFi hotspot click here, enter your zip code and zoom in to your street level to see the available WiFi hotspots. You can always connect to the Xfinity Wifi hotspots in order to be able to work.

@XfinityThomasB we live in La Marque down by Galveston, going on day 4 now without being about to get work and some schooling done. It’s getting beyond frustrating for everyone. I get everything, I really do, but it seems xfinity needs to think and try to get precautions in place for things just like this.
