outage

Internet has been down for 3 days, and I have a wire on the ground right outside my house. The only estimated time for restoration is 'as soon as possible', but it's been 3 days.. how do I get a better estimate than that? I work from home, not having any internet means I have to work off of my phone's hotspot, which is not ideal considering how much I pay every month for this service.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi there! I'm so sorry to read about the service trouble you are having. It's so important to get our customers reconnected and back online asap especially with so many customers working from home. With the line down, I have a feeling that even when the area issue is cleared we may still need to set up a repair appointment. If there is currently an interruption reported in the area we will not be able to set up that appointment until it's cleared.

Can you please send us a direct message with your name and service address please? From there we can help check the area and set up an appointment if we are still having a connection issue after the interruption is cleared.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send your message
@EG Thank you for moving the post to the right support area!
