Outage

Our internet has been out for the last 3 days and I can’t get any info on what’s happening or when it might be back on. With it being a holiday weekend, currently it just sucks, but I work from home part of the week. If service will be off for that long I need to know so I can start looking for different internet solutions that will allow me to continue working.

Good afternoon @user_3b834d! I truly understand how important it is to have your internet working when you work from home. Have you checked the status center to see if there is an interruption occurring in your area?

@XfinityAldrik Yes I have, it has mention an outage in the area, and updated a couple times yesterday with times it will be fixed, but those times passed and it changed back to the standard message. I just want to know if this is actually something being worked on and will get fixed soon or if I need to find another internet solution.

With the issue showing reported in the status center, it is actively being worked on by our technicians in your area. We regret to hear the initial estimated resolutions were inaccurate, this may have occurred due to further issues being discovered during maintenance. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
