Outage in 33324 February 20 at 9am

Hi

I have some questions abouts outages. Could someone help me with these please?

-How often does Comcast/Xfinity experience this?

-How often does this happen in 33324?

-When did it happen in 2024? Please include dates and times if possible

-What do business owners do? I teach online through Zoom and it is completely unprofessional for me and quite embarrassing.

-I've never experienced internet outages at brick and mortar companies and at professional businesses. I'm a professional education business at home, so do I need a different internet company provider? Could you recommend which internet businesses use? 

-How will Xfinity compensate me for this time with no internet?

Jaleesa Thanks for posting on our Community Forums. There are various factors that can cause an area-wide interruption, and our maintenance teams and technicians work as quickly and safely as they can to have services restored. Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to check a log for a zip code to provide the number of events in a year, but things like weather, car accidents, power issues, etc. can impact our network at times. For most businesses, they would go with our Comcast Business services instead of residential internet. Even these accounts can still be impacted by interruptions, but we also have options like the Storm Ready WiFi devices to have as a backup plan when issues arise. You can also use our Xfinity app or website to request a credit for the time services were down through this link
