Outage help

My internet went out and I cannot find out any information about if it is only affecting me or if it affects my area. I tried to talk to xfinity assistant but I keep getting stuck in a loop of restarting my gateway and scheduling a technician. I don't know if I need a technician for my issue if it is a more wide spread issue in my area. The app says my internet is out due to an outage, but when I check the outage information it says there are no outages reported.  I'm not sure how to interpret the conflicting information. Does anyone know how I can talk to someone with more information?

Please refer to the following:

https://www.xfinity.com/support/statusmap

Please be aware that calling xfinity when there is an outage in your area will serve no purpose.  The agent you reach will not be able to tell you anything other than the service is out (which you already knew).  They cannot tell you when it will be restored.  If there is an outage in your area, there is nothing they can do to reroute a signal to your area.

user_vb8hur, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. I would be happy to take a look at your account and see what the problem is. As our problem solver mentioned, we might not be able to tell you why it's out, but I know you would feel better if we checked.

It isn’t just you.  It has been out since last night for “planned maintenance”, supposed to be back on by 6 am on June 6.  It has been sporadically coming on and off, useless and there is zero communication from Xfinity about it.
