Outage communication (or lack there of)

Communication is key.  That is why it is so frustrating with the lack of it during our internet outage.  It has been down for almost 24 hours in the Cordova, TN area and the communication and updates have been lack luster.  You sign up for the updates via text and don't get one for 18 hours.  Trying to talk to someone via the phone or chat bot just ends up in an endless loop of them trying to avoid putting you in front an actual person.  All that is required is just updating people or giving an estimate.  Being stuck in the dark is the worse, especially when one works from home and internet is vital.  Even if the update was a 24-48 hour window at least I would know what to expect.
